Microsoft has launched a new platform that uses Twitter, ExecTweets. Although the site is still in beta (second stage testing), its purpose is to allow users to follow top-level executives. Featured users include Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) and Richard Branson (Virgin).
There has been an increasing number of leaked music videos and tracks on YouTube, which has created demand for conversion software (to listen to new music on your Ipod). Users can now download TubeTilla, software that allows you to convert YouTube clips into music files, and save them directly into your computer.
The Masdar Project aims to create a zero-emissions city near Abu Dhabi, with a required investment of roughly $15 billion (US). Developers estimate the city to hold up to 50,000 residents.
Al Gore has partnered with an organization to push forward the introduction of a new “.eco” domain form. Environmental policy is becoming a heavy topic of discussion, and a “.eco” domain could well be the online representation of an environmental cause.
