“Technology’s gateway to Arabia”
We were founded in early 2009. Our aim is to create a medium between ground-breaking advancements in science & technology and Arabia. To achieve this, a community of scientists, innovators, entrepreneurs and publishing groups must be created with common goals and intentions.
It begins with our blog. A journal of articles about topics that affect our lives today and tomorrow. Nowadays, concepts usually cover science & technology, but any other aspect of mankind’s development on earth (maybe eventually somewhere else in space) would be just as important. Our stakeholders? We like to call them Abians, digital users of Arabia. They probably speak English. They definitely know how to operate a computer. And soon, they should know how to start their own blog.
The current translation to Arabic is provided by Google Translate, and we apologize for any errors it may make, it’s only a computer!
Arabic (human-translated) coming soon.
Thanks,
Techabia
“I am Abian.”
This term, Abian, is aimed to act as the digital representation of anyone in the Arab world. So yes, if you are from Arabia, and are reading this from your own computer, you’re an Abian. You’re therefore a member of Abia, which is both a network and community of Abians. We’re developing this further and should have a formal definition and explanation of what Abia is, and what makes an Abian. Who knows, maybe one day we’ll form our own country
Think of Abia as a framework. Realise that there is no model for development, and every form of change is relative to the area where change is occurring. Arabia is an established, culturally accustomed region. Ideas do not simply change, traditions do not modestly fade away, neither do the practices to which people pursue in their daily lives. In order to make full use of technological developments, those specific technologies applied into the Arabia region need to be modified and refined to fit a specific form of user.
If the form of a user is not defined, how will the technologies be remodelled?
Abia is a standard, and Abians are represented by that standard.
