Babcock and Wilcox (B&W), a leading provider of advanced nuclear energy technology, has announced the release of the mPower reactor. The technology is a scalable, modular system that will allow the production of nuclear reactors in factories, therefore removing the need to construct a nuclear plant. The reactors themselves can then be shipped to construction sites. This solution, which will save time and cut costs, will generate roughly 500 megawatts (about half of what a nuclear plant would generate). See below for images and the official press release.

President Barrack Obama has announced his support to an agreement between the USA and the UAE whereby nuclear energy technology would be shared amongst the two nations. H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan has also released a statement.
